Literacy News - Laura Korpershoek
We have 83 students participating in the Premier’s Reading Challenge here at school and the total number of books read by the students that have brought their log books back, is an astonishing 621 books! This is great news considering we are only in week 2 of the challenge! Please remember to bring back your log books each Tuesday morning (P-6) and each Wednesday (Kinder) to get a stamp, update your total number of books and go in the weekly draw to receive a prize. This week’s winner was Ella Burley. Well done, Ella! Keep up the great reading everyone!!
Another exciting opportunity coming for students, is that I will be starting a choir with Year 3-6 students in Term 3! Students will have the opportunity to sign up and audition for this on Tuesday next week, so the choir can start forming in Term 3. No experience is necessary, just a desire to learn to sing as a group. Please let me know if you have any questions regarding this.
